This month I decided to try out a new subscription box-Beauty Box 5. Beauty Box 5 is a beauty sampling service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and/or full sized products every month. You can receive a mix of makeup, beauty accessories, skincare, hair care, fragrance and body products every month.

I actually like receiving perfume samples in subscription boxes. It is nice to be able to try out a different scent every week. This perfume is great for summer. This has a light citrus scent mixed with a light floral note that is just perfect for everyday.
Cattiva Waterproof Eye Liner ($20.00)
This is creamy and easy to apply. It has a retractable dispenser and is easy to blend out if necessary. I don't really need another black eye liner, but this is a good one.
Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths in Restore-3 ($1.00)
These are lightly fragranced cloths that cool skin on contact, wipe away sweat and provide long lasting freshness. The restore type has a light powder scent. These will be great for summer (if it ever gets hot in Chicago). These are good to have, but I just don't' think they are a great item to receive in a subscription box. I would have preferred a makeup or body product.
H20+ Spa Hand and Nail Creme 30ml-($1.20)
This is an intensely moisturizing lotion with the scent of shea butter, hydrolyzed silk proteins and hydrating marine blend. I just tried this and it really is very moisturizing and a little goes a long way. At first I was disappointed with this small sample size, but I think it will actually last quite a long time. The scent is a little floral for my taste.
Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion-1 fl. oz. ($1.50)
This lotion contains colloidal oatmeal blended with rich emollients that will moisturize your skin for a full 24 hours. This is an average daily moisturizing lotion. Nothing special.

I'm on the fence about this box. The value is almost solely based upon the value of the eye liner. The eye liner is of great quality, but is a very basic product. I don't love that there are two drugstore products in this box. I think birchbox and ipsy bag have higher quality products and they are $2.00 less expensive.
